Founded in 1997 by Jose Ramon Noriega and Dan Murphy, Saline Seed was pioneer of the salicornia production around the world; the salicornia production continues nowadays , improving the standards of quaity and developing of new sub products.

The Salicornia, also known as Sea Asparagus, Samphire or Sea Beans, is a plant that grows in the sea shores around the world. It posses high tolerance to salinity, being able to grow with the use of sea water. Its mainly use is to flavor foods with a herbacioues-salty taste, containing also a good nutritional mineral facts profile with a low sodium content.
It is highly use in the gourmet gastronomy, used to decorate dishes and added to salads in its fresh and dry presentation.
